2.有些结构致密的大理石建议选用油性大理石养护剂。油性大理石养护剂渗透力强，可以更深入到大理石内部;对于结构一般的大理石，油性与水性大理石养护剂都可以选用。

3.对于是餐厅、灶台等容易污染的地方，最好采用有机氟型大理石养护剂以便提高大理石表面的抗污能力。

4.对于室外的大理石，可以选用有机硅型养护剂，但要求产品的抗紫外线能力、耐水性和耐酸性都比较好。

5.对于湿贴或灌浆安装的大理石，建议选用大理石底面专用养护剂。而且还应注意养护剂的耐碱性，不能影响大理石与水泥的粘接牢度，否则容易造成石材脱落。

6.对于毛面大理石表面的膜型养护处理，应采用有机硅为原料的成膜型大理石养护剂，这种产品硬度好，粘接强度高，而且不易发黄;最好不要采用以丙烯酸为原料的地面密封剂，这种产品主要用于底面密封，在大理石表面使用会使大理石脱皮和变色。

7.对于颜色较深的大理石，由于使用防护剂后很容易变色，所以选择防护剂时一定要先在不显眼处做小样测试。
